Voting for the assembly elections in West Bengal is going to take place in a few days. Before voting, a round of election meetings is going on in the state. In this series, State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while addressing a rally in Birbhum, has fiercely targeted the opponents. He has also responded to the opposition’s objections to his decision to contest elections from two seats.
Mamata Banerjee Said that if the people want their government to be formed, then they themselves are contesting elections from two seats. But he raised questions on this issue while cornering Prime Minister Modi. He said that Prime Minister Modi also talks about being a candidate from two seats, but if it is so then he should make it clear whether he wants to remain on the post of Prime Minister or become the Chief Minister of West Bengal.
Chief Minister Mamata taunted and said that if Modi wants to enter Bengal politics, then first leave the post of Prime Minister and then ask for votes on 294 seats. He also said that how can any leader say that he is contesting elections on every seat. In her statement, Mamata described Prime Minister Modi as an ‘outsider’ and said that first he should take the responsibility of Delhi and then look towards Bengal.

Mamta Banerjee further said that if someone looks at Bengal with evil eyes, the people here will gouge out his eyes. That is, the Chief Minister gave a clear message that if you cast an evil eye towards Bengal, you will surely get a reply.
election schedule
Voting is to be held on a total of 294 seats in Bengal. In the first phase, voting will be held on 152 seats on April 23 and in the second phase, voting will be held on 142 seats on April 29. The results will come on May 4. The Election Commission had announced the election schedule on 15th last month.
