French President Emmanuel Macron was slapped in Vietnam by his wife Brigitte Macron, an actress of Iranian origin. According to the New York Post, this claim has been made by French journalist Florian Tardif in his new book ‘An (Almost) Perfect Couple’.
This book was published on Wednesday. The book says that the controversy was caused by an alleged chat between Iranian-origin actress Golshifteh Farahani and President Macron. According to the report, President Macron used to send messages to the actress. In one message he allegedly wrote, ‘I find you very beautiful.’
According to French media reports, a ‘platonic relationship’ (friendship relationship) continued between Macron and Farahani for several months. However, the report said that this relationship was limited to only emotional and personal conversations.
Macron had visited Vietnam on May 25 last year. Meanwhile, his wife was seen slapping him at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport.

Meanwhile, a video was recorded in the cameras, in which Brigitte Macron was seen slapping her husband. This video quickly went viral on social media and was discussed around the world.
Journalist Florian Tardif said that the actress’s message caused tension between the husband and wife and this private dispute later became public. Quoting a friend in the book, it has been written that Brigitte Macron felt that her place was gradually diminishing.
