The Education Minister held a meeting with the officials at CBSE Headquarters in New Delhi.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has instructed the officials that the problems of the students should be resolved in a timely, transparent and in the interest of the students. Any kind of negligence inside or outside the system will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken in such cases.
Apart from this, on the questions raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on CBSE and the Central Government, Pradhan said – This was the first time that CBSE implemented this system on such a large scale. It is believed that some irregularities have come to light. I take responsibility for this. These will be corrected and a solution will be found.
In fact, on Thursday, Pradhan held a high-level meeting with officials at the CBSE headquarters in New Delhi. According to the Education Ministry, the meeting was attended by School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar, CBSE Chairperson Rahul Singh, directors of IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, senior officials of the Education Ministry, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, public sector banks and CBSE.
Instructions to all officers of Pradhan
- A technical review of the stability, server capacity and payment system of the CBSE portal should be done.
- The digital evaluation and monitoring system of CBSE should be strengthened.
- Problems of students should be resolved in a timely and transparent manner.
- Examination and post-result services should be made as student friendly as possible.
- Strict action should be taken against any kind of negligence or irregularity.
- Make exam related services easier.
Official said – 11 lakh scanned answer sheets have been viewed so far
Officials told in the meeting that this year around 18 lakh students appeared for Class 12 examination. Under this, about 98 lakh answer sheets and about 40 crore scanned pages were processed. Till now, around four lakh students have viewed around 11 lakh scanned answer sheets through the portal.
The Education Minister has given the responsibility of reviewing the stability of the portal, server capacity, login management and payment gateway system to the technical team of IIT Madras professors and digital system experts to address the login problems, excessive load on the server and payment related problems on the CBSE portal.
CBSE said- OSM process is safe and strong
In the meeting, CBSE said that the On Screen Marking System (OSM) is based on a safe and robust IT platform for digital evaluation. This system has been security audited and has multiple layers of safety and quality checks for scanning and processing of answer sheets.
Rahul Gandhi raised questions on Coempt Edutech
On May 27, Rahul Gandhi also raised questions on the contract for digital evaluation of CBSE exam going to Coempt Edutech. He has alleged that the old name of Coempt Edutech was Globarena and its record has been associated with controversies. Therefore, an independent judicial inquiry should be conducted into this matter. SIT should be formed for this.
Rahul Gandhi had asked in the post on X on whose orders this contract was given to Coempt and whether the background of the company was checked. If the background check was done and the contract was still given, or the investigation was not done at all, in both cases the government is responsible.

Pradhan has also said that Rahul Gandhi is disappointed due to continuous election defeats. That is why they have been opposing technical progress. He opposed SIR, opposed EVM and also opposed Digital India. He does not seem to be standing with the scientific progress of India.
The Education Minister has said that this is not the time to do politics. Mental pressure on students should not increase further and appealed to all parties that no statement or behavior should further increase the stress of students.
Rahul’s counterattack on Pradhan’s answer
On the statement of the Education Minister, Rahul Gandhi has said that attacking me will not end the responsibility of the Education Minister. If the Prime Minister was really concerned about the students, Dharmendra Pradhan would have already been removed for putting the future of so many students at risk.
