Advisors of Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir have shared a proposal to develop a port from the US to Balochistan.

According to the Reuters News Agency, Pakistan wants American investor to develop a new port on the banks of the Arabian Sea in Pasni city of Balochistan.

The proposal clearly states that this port is only for business and minerals. America will not be allowed to build any military base.

Pasni is just 112 km from Gwadar Port (the port of China). This port will give America easy access to Pakistan’s important minerals such as copper and antimony.

Rail line will be laid at a cost of 11 thousand crores

Under this proposal, a new railway line will also be built which will connect this port with western provinces. It can cost around $ 1.2 billion (11 thousand crores).

The US State Department, White House or Pakistan Foreign Ministry has not yet made any official statement on it. According to media reports, this proposal may bring economic advantage for Pakistan, but the region may increase tension with China, Iran and Afghanistan.

Munir showed Trump’s briefcase of railway minerals

The proposal came after a meeting of Shahbaz Sharif, Asim Munir and Trump in September. In this meeting held at the White House, Sharif asked Trump to invest in Pakistan’s agriculture, technology, mining and energy projects.

During the meeting, Army Chief Asim Munir also showed a briefcase filled with Pakistan’s Rare Earth Minerals from Trump.

Pakistan-US relationship strengthened after Operation Sindoor

In May this year, after India’s Operation Sindoor, Pakistan and America have become very strong in relations. Trump claimed to have a ceasefire between the two countries on 10 May, Pakistan openly supported Trump’s claim and nominated them for Nobel.

At the same time, in June, Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir met Trump secret. After this, in September, Shahbaz Sharif and Munir held a meeting with Trump at the White House, in this meeting, Sharif called Trump a peace messenger.

On May 10, Trump wrote on X that India and Pakistan have agreed to complete and immediate ceasefire after a long conversation in the US arbitration.

Last year, both countries have a trade of $ 10 billion

In 2024, the US and Pakistan had a trade of $ 10.1 billion, which is 6.3% more than the previous year. The US exported $ 2.1 billion goods and imported 5.1 billion. America’s trade deficit stood at $ 3 billion.

Trump has imposed 19% tariff on Pakistan, while India has imposed a total of 50% tariff. Experts believe that the US is trying to keep Pakistan away from China.
