The much awaited ‘Secretariat Super League 2026’ has got off to a grand start at the Maharana Pratap Cricket Ground in Raipur, the capital. On Friday, the first day of the tournament, two exciting matches were played, in which Secretariat ‘A’ and ‘Secretariat Mighty 11’ displayed excellent performance.

Sagar’s brilliant batting, Secretariat ‘A’ won the match by 58 runs
The opening match of the tournament was played between Secretariat ‘A’ and ‘Secretariat Royal Strikers’. Batting first, Secretariat ‘A’ batsmen hit shots all around the field and scored a huge score of 234 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated overs. On behalf of the team, Sagar played the highest innings of 87 runs, while TH Khan made an important contribution of 42 runs. Vivek, Rohit, Surya and Chandan got 1 wicket each from Royal Striker.
While chasing the mountain-like target of 235 runs, the Secretariat ‘Royal Striker’ team disintegrated under pressure and could score only 176 runs after losing 8 wickets. However, Pradeep Agri (57 runs) and Neeraj Giri (43 runs) struggled from one end, but could not take the team beyond the threshold of victory. Secretariat ‘A’ bowler Rahul Jaitley bowled brilliantly and took 3 important wickets. In this way Secretariat ‘A’ won the match by 58 runs. ‘Warrior’ stuck in Santosh’s spin, Mighty 11 won by 5 wickets
The second match of the day was between ‘Sachivalaya Mighty 11’ and ‘Sachivalaya Warrior’. In this match, Secretariat Warriors won the toss and decided to bat first, which proved wrong. In front of the bowlers of ‘Mighty 11’, the entire Warriors team collapsed like a house of cards for 91 runs in just 14 overs. Rajeev Tadiyal scored 21 runs and Pawan Aswal scored 18 runs for the team. On behalf of Mighty 11, Santosh Pandey bowled lethally and took maximum 4 wickets. Apart from this, Chandu Purohit and Ankit Nautiyal broke the back of the opposition team by taking 3 wickets each.
In reply, the team of ‘Mighty 11’ set out to chase the easy target of 92 runs and achieved it by losing 5 wickets in just 13 overs. The hero of the victory was Arvind Danu, who played a brilliant inning of 37 runs. Warrior bowlers Neeraj Bhandari and Amit Rawat took 2-2 wickets, but could not avoid defeat. ‘Mighty 11’ made a winning start in the tournament by winning this match by 5 wickets. Santosh Pandey was awarded ‘Man of the Match’ for his excellent bowling.

Earlier, AK Shukla, Managing Director of Uttarakhand Cooperative Federation Limited and Rajesh Mamgain, Principal of Maharana Pratap Sports College were present as chief guests to encourage the players in the inaugural ceremony of the tournament.
