The release of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film ‘Udta Teer’ has been postponed for the second time. Initially the film was scheduled to release on September 11, but later the release date became October 9. But now seeing the excellent earnings of Drishyam 3, the makers have again postponed its release. Know the 3 big reasons for repeatedly postponing the film and the opinion of trade experts-
3 big reasons for postponing Flying Arrow-
1. Damage Estimate on Clash from Drishyam 3
Ajay Devgan, Tabu and Jaideep Ahlawat starrer film Drishyam 3 is released on October 2. This film has created a record by earning Rs 62 crores on the very first day. Looking at the current buzz of the film, it can be estimated that the film will hold the theaters and box office till next week, in such a situation, if Udta Teer is released along with it, then the film may suffer loss.
2. Release of Oscar nominated film
Marathi film Gondhal (2025) has received an official entry into the Oscars. This film is being released in theaters on 9 October. Gondhal will be screened in theaters and Drishyam 3, Hanuman Ansh will already be in theatres. In such a situation, there could have been a risk of getting less screen count for Flying Arrow.
3. Yami Gautam’s film to be released only after a week
If Udta Teer had released on October 9, it would have clashed with Drishyam 3, Gondhal, Hanuman Ansh, but at the same time the film would have had to face Yami Gautam’s new venture releasing a week later on October 16. The new entrant is already in the news on social media, while Udta Teer’s buzz is low. In such a situation, there could have been problems in getting distribution and theaters for the film.

Film trade expert Sumit Kadel said while talking to Dainik Bhaskar – ‘Drishyam 3 is the second biggest opener of this year. The word of mouth of this film is also exceptional. That means its collection will be big in the first and second weeks. Hence the makers of Udta Teer decided to postpone, so that a clean and empty window can be provided for the release and do good business.
The film is also in danger from the new release date.
Instead of October 9, this film will now hit the theaters on October 23. Now this film will clash with Sonakshi Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal’s film Tu Hai Meri Kiran, Gurmeet Choudhary, Isha Malviya’s film Tum Mere Ho and Jackie Shroff’s film Kaali Kheti.
Even if the film survives this clash, then Ranbir Kapoor’s mega budget film Ramayan: Part 1 is being released after 15 days i.e. on 8th November. Only 15 days will be given to perform the film. Ramayan is being released on a big scale, so that it will be given maximum screens.
Flying Arrow is the story of a Pakistani spy

The spy enters India and meets with an accident. After this he loses his memory.
