OP Singh’s retirement on 31st December this year Omprakash Singh (OP Singh) is a 1991 batch IPS. He became DGP of Haryana only 26 days ago. His retirement is on 31st December this year. Earlier, due to his retirement being near, the name of Alok Mittal of 1993 batch was in discussion for the post of DGP. OP Singh, originally from Namoon village in Jamui district of Bihar, came into limelight in Haryana by bringing the concept of marching against drugs. Later Rahgiri was adopted by the government and became quite popular.
