In the report of Free Press Journal, Bareilly District Magistrate Avneesh Singh has said that after the attack in September, Jagdish Patni had applied for an arms license. After completing all the necessary processes, he was issued a revolver/pistol license.

Disha Patani’s house was attacked in September

On 11-12 September 2025, two bikers had fired 10 rounds at Disha Patni’s house in Bareilly. At the time of firing, Disha Patani’s sister, former army officer Khushboo Patani and her parents were in the house, while the actress was in Mumbai for work.

Disha’s father was also shot, saved his life by hiding

The actress’s father Jagdish Patni had told in the FIR that his dog started barking during the firing. When he became suspicious, he went to the balcony and saw two bikes in question. When interrupted, the person took aim at them and fired. He saved his life by lying on the floor. CCTV footage of this incident was also revealed.

Rohit Godara and Goldie Brar gang have taken responsibility for the firing. Both work for gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He wrote in a Facebook post- ‘The firing was carried out due to anger over the comments made on Saint Premanand Maharaj and storyteller Aniruddhacharya Maharaj. It’s just a trailer. Next time such an act is repeated, no one will be left alive.

In fact, shortly before the firing, Disha Patani’s sister Khushboo Patani had expressed her displeasure over the statement of narrator Aniruddhacharya, in which he had given objectionable statements on women and live-in relationships.

On July 30, Khushboo Patni had said- I will break the face of such people. If this person was in front of me, I would have explained to him clearly what ‘smacking’ means.

I have no hesitation in calling it anti-national. A person whose thinking is so poor should not get the platform. Khushboo Patni raised the question – If someone is in a live-in relationship, is the girl alone? Don’t boys join in?
