20 doctors interrogated, only four main accused arrested
The scope of security agencies in the investigation of Delhi blast case is continuously increasing and no official data has been released yet. But according to sources, more than 20 doctors have been questioned so far, most of whom have been released.
Similarly, Jammu and Kashmir Police detained around 200 people for questioning on the basis of suspicious activities, but many of them were later released. Agencies say that at present the investigation is in the initial stage, hence most of the actions are being taken on the basis of “suspicion”.
According to sources, no one has been arrested so far on the basis of solid evidence, except the main accused against whom there is prima facie evidence. These include – Dr. Adeel, Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Shaheen and Maulvi Irfan.
Considering these four as the main characters of the case, they have been formally arrested. Everyone else is being detained only for questioning and confirmation of suspicious activities.

At present, the agencies are avoiding giving any official statement regarding any information because the investigation is still in its initial stage.
What happened on Sunday in the investigation of Delhi blasts case?
Many important developments came to light on Sunday in the case of the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. First of all, the Red Fort metro station, which was closed due to security reasons after the blast, was reopened. All the gates of the station have now been opened normally for the general public. The white curtain installed in front of the Red Fort has also been removed, due to which normal activities were seen returning in the area.
On the other hand, the investigation by security agencies continued in Al Falah University also. From here, raids continued in search of important clues related to the main accused of the blast, Dr. Umar Nabi and his network. In the day-long operation, the police have arrested two such suspects, who are said to be close to Umar Nabi.
Another big revelation came in the investigation. The 9mm cartridges found at the blast site were found to be of limited grade. Forensic and intelligence teams are working together to find out the source of these cartridges and how they reached there. Agencies are investigating from multiple angles to understand the explosives used in the blast and their network.
The entire investigation is now moving towards several big suspects and possible foreign connections. Security agencies say that this module appears to be quite organized and technically capable, hence every clue is being seriously investigated.
What are the other updates in the case till now?
Recently, three cartridges of 9mm caliber have been recovered from the spot. Which includes two alive and one empty shell. These cartridges are banned for common citizens, but till now no remains of any weapon have been found from the spot. For this reason, the investigating agencies are trying to find out how these cartridges reached there.
During the investigation, many important evidences were also found from Al Falah University. It was here that accused Umar had parked the car for some time and explosive material was also recovered from here.
According to investigating agencies, Omar and his associates ran a “white-collar” terrorist module, which included people from the medical field.
