In the infertility test of a 26 year old youth from Delhi, a uterus was found inside the stomach. Both the testicles were also inside the stomach. The young man had gone to RG Hospitals located in Rajouri Garden for treatment of primary infertility. During investigation, no sperms were found in his semen. MRI showed a uterus-like structure inside the pelvis. According to doctors, it could be a rare congenital condition like Persistent Mullerian Duct Syndrome (PMDS). There are only 300 cases of it in the whole world. Both the testicles of the young man had not descended. They had been inside the stomach for a long time and had shrunk severely. In this case, the reason for infertility was that the testicles of this young man remained inside the stomach and had shrunk severely. When inside the stomach, high body temperature can harm the process of sperm formation over time. The testicles of this patient were already seriously damaged. This resulted in the condition of azoospermia. In some people, assisted reproductive technologies may provide options depending on the function of the remaining testis. However, fertility results may vary from person to person. It depends on the location of the testicles and their functionality. Other reproductive abnormalities may also be affected. —————————— Also read this news… Mental Health – Brain becomes active as soon as night falls: Can’t sleep, worries about everything from office to future and death, what to do, I am 34 years old and work in an IT company.
