US President Donald Trump has said that the US Army has destroyed military bases on Iran’s Kharg Island. He warned that if necessary, the next target could be the oil infrastructure of this area. Kharg Island is located in the Persian Gulf and is considered strategically important for Iran.
Kharg Island is Iran’s largest center of oil export. About 80 to 90% of the country’s crude oil is exported from this island. There are large oil terminals, pipelines, storage tanks and facilities for filling oil into ships. It is said that up to 70 lakh barrels of oil can be loaded into ships every day from here.
At the same time, America has announced a reward of up to 10 million dollars i.e. about Rs 92 crore for providing information about Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
This announcement has been made under the ‘Rewards for Justice’ program of the US State Department. The names of many other Iranian officials including Ali Larijani are also included in this list.
Claim-Iran will allow two Indian gas tankers to pass through Hormuz
Iran has allowed two Indian gas tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. News agency Reuters has claimed this in its report. The report quoted sources as saying that two Indian LPG tankers will soon leave for India via the Strait of Hormuz.

Air India will run 80 flights to the Middle East
