Yash’s film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ is released in theaters on 26 August 2026.
There is a continuous decline in the box office earnings of Yash starrer film ‘Toxic’. The film had an opening of around ₹101.10 crore on the first day, but after that the collection dropped rapidly.
The film collected ₹37.65 crore on the second day, ₹27.20 crore on the third day and about ₹24.50 crore India net collection on the fourth day. That means even on the fourth day the film’s earnings were much less than the first day.
Let us tell you that on the fourth day the earnings of ‘Toxic’ fell by about 75.8% as compared to the first day. The total India net collection of the film in four days has reached around ₹190.45 crore.

Earnings fell in both Hindi and South markets
Let us tell you that many viewers have described the weak story of the film as a major reason for the falling earnings of the film. The length of the film is also under discussion. ‘Toxic’ is approximately 3 hours and 14 minutes long. In such a long film, it is important to keep the story engaged with the audience. But many viewers found the film slow in some parts.
Mainly Yash is the superstar of South. However, his film has seen a huge decline in the southern states (like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala). In Hindi, the film earned ₹55 crore on the first day. This earning dropped to ₹24.25 crore on the second day. Hindi collected ₹19.75 crore on the third day and only ₹15.50 crore was collected on the fourth day.
The film earned ₹23.30 crore on its first day in Kannada. It dropped to ₹8.50 crore on the second day and to ₹5 crore on the third day. It earned ₹6.60 crore in Kannada on the fourth day.
Telugu brought only ₹3 crore on the second day compared to ₹16 crore on the first day. The collection on the third and fourth day stood at ₹1.50 crore. Even in Tamil, the earning on the fourth day was only ₹75 lakh as against ₹5.50 crore on the first day. After ₹1.30 crore on the first day in Malayalam, only ₹15 lakh was received on the fourth day.

Amidst the continuously falling earnings of ‘Toxic’, film critic Kamal Rashid Khan (KRK) wrote about the film, that the OTT rights of the film were not sold before its release. Now no OTT platform will be ready to pay more than ₹25 crore for its rights. That means the total recovery from the film can only be around ₹150 crore. In such a situation, producers are likely to suffer a loss of more than ₹500 crore. However, Dainik Bhaskar does not confirm this claim of KRK.
