The case of acid attack on a Delhi University (DU) student has turned out to be false. The police had detained the student’s father Akil Khan and interrogated him. He confessed that he had conspired to carry out an acid attack to trap three youths. The inflammable substance was not acid but toilet cleaner.
In fact, a 20-year-old student of DU’s Laxmibai College had claimed that on the morning of October 26, three youths Jitendra, Ishaan and Armaan had thrown acid on her while she was going to college in Ashok Vihar area. Later they fled from the spot. The student had said that Jitendra had been following her for a long time.
Police interrogation revealed that Jitendra’s wife had filed a rape case against the student’s father. The complaint said that she was sexually exploited while working in Akil’s factory. His personal photographs were also taken.
Police have arrested the student’s father Akil Khan. He is already accused of rape.

I am a resident of Mukandpur. When she was going to college, Jitendra came by bike with his two friends Ishaan and Armaan. Ishaan gives a bottle to Armaan and he throws acid. I tried to save my face, but both my hands got burnt. After the attack the accused fled from the spot.
At the same time, the student’s brother had said that Jitendra used to stalk his sister. Some time ago also sister had an argument with Jitendra.

What came to light in the police investigation…
After the matter came to light, the police started investigating the matter. There were CCTV surveillance of the area where the incident was claimed to have happened, but the three youths riding the bike were nowhere to be seen.
During investigation it was also revealed that at the time when the incident was reported. During that time Jitendra was present in Karol Bagh area with his wife. His location and call details, CCTV footage was also extracted, which confirmed this.
The bike on which the three were said to have escaped was also found in Karol Bagh. The three youths were not seen anywhere together. Also, no trace of acid, bottle or glass was found at the spot.
Police said that the girl had come with her brother on a scooter to Ashok Vihar, took an e-rickshaw from there and got down about 300 meters before the main gate of the college.
Police investigation found that the reason why they covered such a distance is also not clear. At the same time, according to the police, no traces of acid were found on the girl’s bag. The bag which contained a kurti has been seized.

Police also said that during investigation, the location of Ishaan and Armaan was found to be Agra. His mother has confirmed this. They all are coming to Delhi soon.
The youth’s mother Shabnam told that there is already a dispute going on between Akil Khan and us regarding a property in Mangolpuri. Due to this dispute, Akil attacked him with acid in the year 2018.
