‘Jailor 2’ is the sequel to superstar Rajinikanth’s 2023 blockbuster film ‘Jailor’.
Rajinikanth’s film ‘Jailor 2’ has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark worldwide in 6 days of its release.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film has become the third highest-grossing Indian film of 2026. Next to this are ‘Dhurandhar 2’ and ‘Drishyam 3’.
According to Sacknilk, the film made a net collection of Rs 45.55 crore in India on the sixth day. On this day, the Tamil version earned Rs 32.10 crore, the Telugu version earned Rs 8.85 crore, the Hindi version earned Rs 5.25 crore and the Kannada version earned Rs 60 lakh.
With this, the total net collection of the film in India has become Rs 289.05 crore and gross collection has become Rs 338.45 crore. At the same time, the film earned Rs 10 crore in foreign countries on the sixth day. With this, its total overseas gross collection has become Rs 204 crore. The worldwide gross collection of the film has now reached Rs 542 crore.
The gap between ‘Jailor 2’ and ‘Drishyam 3’ is now less. Rajinikanth’s film can reach second place among the highest-grossing Indian films of 2026 on Wednesday.
Ajay Devgan’s ‘Drishyam 3’ is at second place with worldwide earnings of Rs 556.22 crore.
At the same time, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is at number 1 with worldwide earnings of Rs 1,813.39 crore.
Rajinikanth has now given 4 films earning more than Rs 500 crore worldwide. With this, he has become the only actor in the Tamil film industry to achieve this feat. His films in 2018 include I.S. Shankar’s science fiction film ‘2.0’, which is his highest-grossing film. Apart from this, ‘Jailor’ (2023) and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Coolie’ (2025) also made it to the Rs 500 crore club. At the same time, ‘Jailor 2’ created a new record by crossing this figure in just 6 days after its release on 15 October 2026.

Status of films released the next day of ‘Jailor 2’
A day after the release of Rajinikanth’s film ‘Jailor 2’, ‘Ranbaali’ and ‘Nayyi Naveli’ were released in theatres. If we talk about the performance of both the films, ‘Ranbaali’ collected a net collection of Rs 6.75 crore from 2,237 shows on the 5th day of its release. With this, the total Indian net collection of the film has reached Rs 36.20 crore and gross collection has reached Rs 42.15 crore. At the same time, the film has so far earned Rs 10.25 crore in the overseas market, taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 52.40 crore.
On the other hand, ‘Nayyi Naveli’ collected a nett of Rs 4.35 crore from 4,835 shows on the 5th day. The total Indian net collection of the film has reached Rs 18.65 crore and gross collection has reached Rs 22.18 crore. The film has so far made a gross collection of Rs 2.50 crore in the overseas market. With this its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 24.68 crore.
