Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, who was in jail from December to February on charges of fraud of Rs 30 crore, has recalled the painful days of jail. According to the filmmaker, he had high fever due to extreme cold, he was groaning in pain, but the policemen present there did not even take him to the doctor. Only the jail inmates helped. In such a situation, he kept telling God that he did not want to die in jail. Vikram Bhatt, remembering his jail days, has written on the official social media, Power of Prayers. About three weeks after my imprisonment in Udaipur Jail, one night in the bitter cold of January, I woke up shivering with high fever in Barrack No. 10. Even after covering with four blankets, it seemed as if there was nothing on the body. Prisoners sleeping nearby collected more blankets for me. I took paracetamol and thought I would be fine. But this did not happen. Next morning I went to the prison hospital. There was not even a thermometer there. He checked the oxygen and said everything was fine. The filmmaker further wrote, ‘I said, is this a joke? I have axial spondyloarthritis, which is an autoimmune disease, and high fever can be dangerous for me. Eventually the doctor wrote a note to take me out to the hospital. But no one came. Earlier the police was busy protecting a VIP. Then in a tribal fair. Day after day I waited in the barracks. My days were spent in pain, and nights in fever. The filmmaker further became emotional and wrote, ‘There came a time when I understood that I was not going anywhere. So I did what I could. I stopped eating oil and salt, drank as much water as I could, and sat in front of a large picture of the goddess in the barrack. And I prayed. I said, “If it’s you, if my prayers have ever meant anything, show me a miracle. I don’t want to die here. My children need me. My wife needs me. My 90-year-old father needs me.”‘ Finally, the filmmaker wrote, ‘Every day I kept praying. And slowly, something started changing. The fever started decreasing. The pain gradually started decreasing. Day by day I started getting better. One morning I looked at Devi and just said, “Thank you for giving me my life back.”‘ Vikram Bhatt also accused the jail administration of negligence in his post. He has written that 15 days after the complaint, the policemen came to take him to the hospital, but by then he had recovered. On this he told the policemen, “Sir, you have come late by about 15 days. Perhaps you have come to see my ghost.” When he asked the officer what he would have done if it had been an emergency, the reply was, “Oh, then we would have sent you with the jail guards.” On this Vikram writes, ‘They could have sent me earlier also. Maybe he didn’t send it. Or maybe God wanted to teach me something first. So when people say there is no God, I don’t argue. I just smile. Because some miracles are visible only to those who need them most. Stayed in jail for two and a half months, know what was the controversy. On November 17, Dr. Ajay Murdia, owner of Indira Group of Companies of Rajasthan, had lodged an FIR of fraud of Rs 30 crore against 8 people including Vikram Bhatt in Udaipur. Dr. Ajay Murdia alleges that he met Dinesh Kataria at an event. Dinesh Kataria proposed him to make his wife’s biopic. In this connection, Dinesh Kataria had called Vrindavan Studio in Mumbai on 24 April 2024. Kataria introduced him to Vikram Bhatt, where there was discussion about making a biopic with Bhatt. A few days later, Vikram and Shwetambari Bhatt told Dr. Ajay Murdia that by financing another Rs 7 crore, they can make 4 films for Rs 47 crore. The release of these films will generate profits of Rs 100 to 200 crores. After this, Rs 77 lakh 86 thousand 979 were transferred to the accounts of his staff in the names of Amandeep Manjeet Singh, Mudit, Farzana Aamir Ali, Abjani, Rahul Kumar, Sachin Gargote, Saboba Bhimana Adkari. In this way Rs 2 crore 45 lakh 61 thousand 400 were transferred. Whereas a payment of Rs 42 crore 70 lakh 82 thousand 232 was made from Indira Entertainment, whereas it was decided to produce four films for Rs 47 crore.
