In the CCTV footage, a car is passing at high speed, trampling people.
A man drove a car into people at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany on Friday. One person died and several people were injured in the incident. The accused has been arrested.
The injured have been taken to the hospital, where their treatment is ongoing. Police are further investigating the matter and have appealed to people to stay away from the incident site.
The incident is reminiscent of a major terrorist incident in Berlin on 19 December 2016, when an Islamic extremist drove a truck into a crowd at a Christmas market. 13 people were killed and dozens were injured in the incident. That attacker was killed a few days later in a police encounter in Italy.
