A big explosion took place inside Naugam Police Station in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir at around 11:20 pm on Thursday night. 27 people have been injured, including 24 policemen. There is also a possibility of some deaths. Although this has not been confirmed. The injured are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of the city. High alert has been issued in the area.
Investigation was being conducted in Naugam area related to the blast that took place near the Red Fort in Delhi on 10 November. Jammu and Kashmir Police says that the forensic team had arrived to investigate the seized ammonium nitrate. At present officials are calling it not a terrorist attack but an accident.
According to initial reports, the blast was caused by explosive material recovered from the same terrorist module which was recently seized by the Naugam police. This terrorist module had carried out the blast near Delhi Red Fort.

There was major damage in the parking area of the police station. Many police vehicles have been burnt.

Fire brigade vehicles are engaged in rescue work. The area has been sealed.

The injured are undergoing treatment at SKIMS Hospital in Srinagar.

The explosion was so powerful that a cloud of smoke covered the sky.

Many more fire brigade vehicles are going to the spot.
13 people died in Delhi blast
The blast took place in a white i20 car near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort metro station on November 10 at around 6.52 pm. 13 people died in this. While 20 people are injured, out of which the condition of three is critical.
The central government has considered the Delhi blast as a terrorist attack. In the Union Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, a resolution was passed on the terror attack near the Red Fort.
