According to ADR- 2764 non-recognized political parties in the country.

The income of registered non-recognized political parties (RUPP) in the country has increased by 223% in 2022-23. This shocking information has been revealed in the new report of the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).

According to the report, there are 2764 parties in the country, out of which more than 73% (2025) have not made their financial records public. At the same time, 739 registered non-recognized parties have been analyzed.

5 registered non-recognized political parties in Gujarat have secured only 22,000 votes in 3 elections in the last 5 years, yet their total income has been ₹ 2,316 crore. One year of these income has been ₹ 1158 crore.

According to this report by ADR, these parties fielded a total of 17 candidates in two Lok Sabha and one assembly elections between 2019-2024, but did not win. Not only this, four of these parties have been registered after 2018.
