Columbia Presidential candidate Miguel Uribe died on Monday. Uribe was shot 3 bullets during the election campaign on 7 June, of which two hit the head. The 39 -year -old Urribe announced to contest the 2026 presidential election in October last year.
Uribe’s wife Maria Claudia Rabona wrote on social media, ‘I pray to God to show me the way to live without you.’
According to Reuters, the Colombian police arrested five suspects in the case in July, including a 15 -year -old minor.

Uribe’s condition remained critical
According to The Guardian, the first phase surgery of Uribe was completed, but his condition remained critical.
The presidential elections are due in 2026 in Colombia. Miguel Urbe was considered the chief contender for the presidential president. 39 -year -old Urribe was a member of the opposition Centro Democratico Conservative Party.

Uribe is the son of Colombia’s famous journalist Diana Turbey. Diana was abducted in 1991 by Medeline Cartel of Drug Mafia Pablo Escobar in Bogota.
Diana was a big journalist of the era who was continuously writing against drug smuggling and organized crime. He lost his life during the rescue operation.
Miguel is the grandson of former President Julio Caesar
Miguel Uribe has a relationship with politics since childhood. He is the grandson of former President Julio Caesar Turbey. Julio Caesar Turbey was the 25th President of Columbia from 1978 to 1982.
He was a prominent leader of the Colombian Liberal Party. His political ideology was Liberal and he was in favor of social reforms, but his orthodox policies made him controversial.
