केजरीवाल सरकार में मंत्री कैलाश गहलोत पर क्यों मेहरबान हुए दिल्ली के एलजी सक्सेना?

On the occasion of 78th Independence Day at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi, Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot hoisted the flag on Thursday in place of CM Arvind Kejriwal. Since Arvind Kejriwal was in jail, it was informed from his side that in his absence, senior Delhi government minister Atishi would hoist the flag on behalf of the Delhi government. But LG Vinay Saxena did not give permission to Atishi and chose Kailash Gehlot for this. In this regard, GAD Additional Chief Secretary Naveen Kumar Chaudhary had argued that the Chief Minister’s instructions are legally illegal, which cannot be accepted. According to the jail rules, this is not allowed.

It was being understood that this decision could create some tension in the Aam Aadmi Party. But the party showed maturity and showed complete unity on the occasion of the flag hoisting. The presence of cabinet ministers Atishi, Gopal Rai, Bhardwaj and Imran Hussain during the flag hoisting was a witness to this. On the other hand, Gehlot also praised Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his speech. He tried his best to show that Kejriwal is his leader and will always remain so. Now the question arises that what did LG VK Saxena achieve by refusing Delhi government minister Atishi from hoisting the flag? If seen, his decision in Delhi only brought disrepute to the BJP. But it is not so easy to understand politics at such a large level. Saxena is also an experienced player. His step cannot be taken lightly. Let us see why he would have shown this kindness to Kailash Gehlot?

1-Is it just because of good relations

Gehlot, MLA from Najafgarh, was made a minister in 2017 in place of Kapil Mishra. Mishra had joined the BJP after levelling corruption allegations against Kejriwal and former minister Satyendra Jain. In the last few years, Gehlot has been present as a serious leader in the Aam Aadmi Party government and has also been seen as a trusted person of the CM. The Indian Express writes that Gehlot has shared the stage with Saxena on several occasions in the last few days. Last Tuesday also, Saxena was the chief guest at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the multi-level electric bus depot and Gehlot was also with him. Earlier, Saxena also attended the ceremony where new buses were added to Delhi’s fleet. Other leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party have been spewing venom against LG Saxena, but Kailash Gehlot has always given him due respect. Maybe this is the reason LG has given him this opportunity. But the reason for cutting Atishi’s name and giving Kailash Gehlot a chance cannot be so simple.

2-Is there a strategy to break the party

In the political corridors of Delhi, this is being considered a strategy to break the party. Aam Aadmi Party leaders are also making the same allegation. Express has written that AAP leaders are seeing Saxena’s move as an attempt to create a rift. An Aam Aadmi Party leader told Express that the main objective of the LG was to show that he will not follow the orders of the CM. That is why he rejected the instructions and got Gehlot to hoist the flag. LG cannot hoist the flag, so he deliberately appointed Gehlot ji to create a rift… But he is focusing on party programs, meetings as well as his duties as a minister. Gehlot even today tweeted and gave the credit of the multi-level bus parking depot to Arvind Kejriwal. Although there was some resentment after the Revenue Department was taken away from him and given to Atishi, the party had resolved this issue. But this is the only ray of hope that can illuminate the BJP anytime. Because even before this, many leaders have been tweeting to give proof of their loyalty to the party till the day they leave the party.

3-Can ED pressure work

Kailash Gehlot was summoned by ED on March 30 this year for questioning. Actually, the team of investigating agency ED wanted to question him in the case of corruption related to the Delhi government’s cancelled excise policy. However, Kailash Gehlot, a cabinet minister in the Delhi government, is the Transport Minister of Delhi. When the policy was being made in the case of the controversial excise policy of the Delhi government, at that time the Delhi government had formed a committee. Three senior ministers were included in that committee, one of which was Kailash Gehlot. The remaining two people included the then former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia and the then Health Minister Satendra Jain. The investigating agency had earlier arrested Manish Sisodia and Jain in this case. After that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also arrested. Aam Aadmi Party has often been alleging that pressure has been put on the leaders of their party to join BJP by showing the fear of ED. So should it be understood that seeing a future opportunity, BJP can get Kailash Gehlot to enter the party. Or LG wants to keep one of his well-wisher in Aam Aadmi Party in the form of Kailash.

4-‘Jat’ Gehlot’s connection with Haryana assembly elections!

Kailash Gehlot belongs to the Jat community. The notification for the assembly elections in Haryana is going to be issued in a few days. The problem of the Bharatiya Janata Party is that the Jats in Haryana are angry due to the farmers’ movement, the movement of women wrestlers etc. During the Lok Sabha elections, the Jat farmers did not allow the BJP candidates to enter many villages. Kailash Gehlot’s assembly constituency is Najafgarh which is on the Haryana border. This can also be a strategy of the BJP to reduce the anger of the Jats of Haryana a little by giving importance to the Jat leader.
