Mobile phones, SIM cards, digital devices and other material were seized during the raids.
According to the investigating agencies, this operation was carried out on the basis of specific intelligence input. Information was received that the relatives of the terrorists jailed and sitting in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) are in touch with them from remote areas like Budgam, Kulgam and Shopian. They are accused of spreading Pakistan’s propaganda in India.
More than 60 houses were searched in Ganderbal. These houses either belong to the jailed terrorists or to the families of the terrorists active in Pakistan. A senior officer said, ‘Our aim is to break the link of contact with terrorists, stop the mediums spreading propaganda and expose the funding links.’

Investigation of social media and bank accounts started
The investigating agencies said that the seized devices will now be sent for forensic examination, decryption and data mining. From this it will be ascertained whether the suspects were only in contact or were also involved in recruiting, harboring or funding terrorists.
The social media accounts of the people whose houses have been raided are also being investigated. Summons have also been sent to many people for questioning. This operation is the first phase of a larger campaign against terror networks. Officials believe that even bigger action may be taken in the coming days.
Data analysis is expected to reveal important things
The process of forensic examination, data extraction and analysis of the seized devices will be initiated. The social media accounts and bank transactions of the suspects will also be investigated. His travel and call records are being scrutinized. If new clues are found in the investigation, more raids and inquiries can be conducted.

Infiltration attempt failed, two terrorists killed
On the other hand, two unidentified terrorists trying to infiltrate near the Line of Control (LOC) in Kupwara district were killed by the Army. This action was taken on the basis of intelligence information received on Friday.
