Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan recently talked about his family relationship with Saif Ali Khan.

Actually, Saif had reached the show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ with his upcoming film ‘Haivaan’ co-star Akshay Kumar.

In the promo of the show, Amitabh told Saif, “Many people do not know that they are in our relationship.” Saif was surprised to hear this and asked, “Me?”

Amitabh then informed about the connection between the two families through the Kapoor and Nanda families.

Explaining this connection on the show, Amitabh said, “Raj Kapoor’s daughter Ritu’s son Nikhil is married to my daughter Shweta.”

After this, Amitabh jokingly asked Saif what would Kareena say to him? On this Saif said that thank God this question is not in the show.

Amitabh Bachchan started laughing after hearing Saif’s answer.

Relationship related to Kapoor-Nanda family

Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan is married to Nikhil Nanda. Nikhil’s mother Ritu Nanda is the daughter of filmmaker Raj Kapoor.

Raj Kapoor was the grandfather of Kareena Kapoor. Kareena is the daughter of Raj Kapoor’s elder son Randhir Kapoor.

For this reason Nikhil Nanda and Kareena Kapoor are cousins. Saif Ali Khan is married to Kareena, hence he does not have a direct relationship with the Bachchan family (like uncle-niece, uncle-niece etc.), but is related through marriage.

Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor have worked together in films like ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ (2001), ‘Dev’ (2004) and ‘Satyagraha’ (2013).

At the same time, Amitabh has also shared the screen with Saif Ali Khan in ‘Eklavya: The Royal Guard’ (2007) and ‘Aarakshan’ (2011).

Talking about Saif Ali Khan’s work front, he will be seen in ‘Haivaan’ directed by Priyadarshan. Apart from Saif, Akshay Kumar, Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi, Rajesh Sharma, and Manoj Joshi are in important roles. The film is a remake of Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam film ‘Oppam’, which starred Mohanlal in the lead role.

Talking about Kareena’s work front, she was last seen in the film Singham Again (2024). She will soon be seen in the film Daira directed by Meghna Gulzar. Kareena will be seen in the role of a police officer in Daira. Daaraa will release in theaters on September 18, 2026.
