38 people died in a plane crash in Aktau, Kazakhstan on Christmas Day.
An Azerbaijani plane crashed in Aktau, Kazakhstan on December 25 at around 12:30 pm. 38 people died in this accident. This plane was going from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to Gozni, Russia. Three days have passed since the accident, but its reason has not been known.
America has accused Russia that Russia may have a hand in the Kazakhstan plane crash. White House spokesman John Kirby said that we have received early indications of Russian involvement and have offered Kazakhstan assistance in investigating the accident. However, Kirby did not tell what things America had come to know on the basis of which it is making such allegations.
A few hours after the plane crash, many media reports started claiming that the accident was caused by an air strike by Russia. Shrapnel marks have been seen on the plane in many videos viral on social media.
At the same time, Russia has warned that any kind of speculation and defamation should be stopped before the investigation is completed. Many types of theories are in discussion regarding the plane crash. Amidst all this, will it ever be known how this plane crashed… or will it remain a mystery?

Why is Russia being accused of crashing the plane?
A video after the plane crash is going viral on social media. It is shown that some parts of the plane have marks like bullet shrapnel. There is speculation that Russia’s air defense system might have mistook the plane for a drone and attacked it.
Russian military blogger Yuri Podolnyaka told news agency AFP that the holes seen in the plane’s wreckage could have been caused by an anti-aircraft missile system. He said the damage suggests the plane may have accidentally hit an air defense missile system.
Defense expert James J Marlow wrote on social media that he had received information that Russian defense systems were intercepting Ukrainian drones in Grozny when this incident occurred. If this is true then it is possible that the defense system might have considered the plane to be a drone and attacked it by mistake.
Russia accused of jamming the plane’s GPS
Flightradar24, a website that provides information related to plane tracking, made a different claim about the plane. The website reported that his GPS had jammed before the accident. Flightradar has also shared a graph related to the plane. The GPS jamming of the plane is also being linked to Russia. In fact, Russia has already been accused of failing GPS transmission.

It is being claimed that the holes in the plane were caused by an attack by Russia’s air defense system. Russia shot down the plane thinking it was a Ukrainian drone.
Russia’s vague media coverage is surprising
Russian political observer Alexander Baunov expressed surprise at Russia’s vague media coverage of the case. He said on X- Moscow will use its military, financial and diplomatic power to force Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to lie. Will deny any involvement in this matter and will give contradictory statements. The truth of this incident is difficult to find out.
Earlier, Ukraine’s National Security Officer Andriy Kovalenko had also said that the Russian air defense system had attacked the plane. Russia will make many efforts to hide this.
Let us tell you that both Russia and Kazakhstan are part of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). It is an intergovernmental military alliance, which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in addition to Russia and Kazakhstan.

The passenger who survived the accident said – it seemed as if the plane was drunk
Reuters has spoken to two passengers and a crew member who were on the plane at the time of the accident. Subhonkul Rakhimov, a passenger, said-
It seemed as if the plane was drunk. He was performing acrobatics in the air. After some time, there was a huge explosion in the plane, after which we felt as if it would break into pieces. As soon as we heard the explosion, we started praying and preparing for our last moments.

The other passenger Wafa Shabanova said- I was very scared. There were two explosions in the plane. After this the flight attendant asked us to go back. After the blast, there was a problem in the oxygen level of the cabin.
