When the family did not find any trace of the girl till late night, they lodged a missing complaint with the police.

To find the girl, the police sought the help of the local people. For this, the police formed a special team of the park’s operator and the forest department. On Wednesday evening, the police found the girl’s blood-soaked clothes near the swimming pool.

After this, panic spread in the entire area. On Thursday morning, the police intensified the search operation. After this, the remains of the girl were found at a short distance.

Police officials said that they spotted a crocodile in the area on Thursday morning. After this, the forest department team found signs of the crocodile’s presence around the swimming pool, which made it clear that the crocodile had eaten the girl.

According to the girl’s family, they had come to Palumpa for their holidays. During this time, they had organized swimming classes for the girl. Palumpa Chief Minister Eva Lawler expressed regret over this incident and said that this incident is heartbreaking. He said that more measures are yet to be taken to protect people from crocodiles.

Lawler said that they are spending Rs 4 crore for this. He said that the crocodile population is increasing in the northern area. We cannot let this happen. We need to stop this.
