Bollywood actress Nusrat Bharucha had recently come to Ujjain to visit Mahakal. After the pictures of the actress from the temple surfaced, All India Muslim Jamaat President Maulana Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi has strongly condemned it and called it a crime. He has issued an order that Nusrat should repent for this, apologize and recite Kalma.
Maulana Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi has said in an interview to ANI, ‘Nushrat Bharucha went to the Mahakal temple of Ujjain and performed puja, offered water, had darshan, wore a sheet, applied kashka (sandalwood) on her forehead. All these things that he has done are sins in the eyes of Shariat and are the biggest sins. This is a grave crime.

He further said, ‘They violated the principles of Shariat, hence the order of Shariat is imposed on them that they should repent, do Istgfar and recite Kalma.’
Nusrat Bharucha had reached Ujjain Mahakal on 30th December.
Nusrat Bharucha had reached Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh on 30 December. After darshan, the actress participated in Bhasma Aarti. A video of the actress also surfaced, in which she was seen engrossed in faith during the Aarti.
After the darshan, Nusrat Bharucha was covered with a sheet and garlanded.
