Actor Asif Khan, who is known for his role of ‘Damaad Ji’ in the web series ‘Panchayat’, has been evicted from the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 20’. His journey in the show lasted for about 8 weeks. After coming out of the house, Asif had an exclusive conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. He talked about his fights on the show, the feedback he got from Salman Khan and his relationships with other contestants.

Question: How was the experience of participating in the TV show Bigg Boss?

Answer: I got a new experience and learned a lot. I do not consider this the end of my journey. I think I had a good takeoff and am still in the air. Now my airport will change, but the journey will continue.

Question: Did you look a little disappointed after the feedback you received from Salman Khan? Did you feel you were being discriminated against?

Answer: No, it was not so. Whenever any feedback is received, a person tries to understand it and think on it. There were many people in the house who had experience in TV and reality shows. I was the least knowledgeable among them. It was a new experience for me to be in front of cameras 24 hours a day and with strangers.

Whenever Salman sir said something, I took it as feedback. His aim was to make me better. In the second week he said that I was fighting a lot. After this I worked on myself. My next big fight happened around the sixth week. If I had not listened to them, there would not have been such a long difference.

Question: Many times in the house, did you feel that your fight was being shown wrong and the fight of other contestants was being shown right?

Answer: Felt like this many times. Once I had a fight with Luv. I told him three times not to shout and talk. When she did not agree, I also shouted loudly. During that time my throat had become sore.

When there is a fight in the house, many people come in between. This makes it seem on TV that someone is going to attack someone. Whereas in reality many times this does not happen. There are 20 people speaking simultaneously. Only the voices of one or two people are heard on TV. Therefore the audience does not understand the entire situation.

Later Rohit sir told me that it was my mistake in that matter. I listened to him. When the rest of the family members also raised their hands against me, I accepted that perhaps it was my fault. I also apologized to Luv.

Question: Did you find the feedback of Weekend Ka Vaar wrong in the fight with Qazi?

Answer: Yes, that day I felt that the method of feedback was not right. Qazi Bhai had joked about the illness. I felt that he should have been explained more on this matter. I was also given feedback, but according to me, the situation should have been the opposite that day.

I accepted the feedback I received every week and worked on it. But that day I did not realize my mistake. So I respectfully said that I do not agree with this.

Question: Did being too emotional go against your game?

Answer: I never played the game thinking about what kind of behavior would be beneficial for me. Truth is very important in both my life and acting. I didn’t want to be something else in front of the camera and something else inside.

If I was angry, I showed anger. If there was sadness, that too would come forward. I didn’t want to hide my feelings to fool anyone. 14 out of 14 people in the house had told me their personal things. I also knew the weaknesses of many people, but I never used their personal things in a fight.

Question: You repeatedly called yourself an actor. Do you think people didn’t like this?

Answer: I do not understand this. If a gamer can talk about his gaming, a rapper can talk about his rapping and a boxer can talk about his boxing, then why can’t an actor talk about his acting?

I haven’t become an actor in 16 days. It has taken me 16 years to get here. I have worked very hard. This should not be considered arrogance. You will find many people in the world who will speak ill of you. If you don’t push yourself, no one else will. I will praise myself. If someone doesn’t want to listen, then he shouldn’t see me.

Question: Your comic style and BB News audience liked it. Could the journey have been longer if it had been shown more?

answer: For me, the length of a character in a show or film does not matter. Even in ‘Panchayat’ my character was not very long, but people liked it. I can leave my mark even in two scenes.

Same thing here also. If I stayed in the house for 15 weeks and did nothing special, it is better that I entertained the audience a lot in 8 weeks. Many members of the house cried when I came out. Even my opponents got emotional. This is a big thing for me. This is my trophy.

Asif used to run a news bulletin named ‘BB News’ inside the house. In this, he used to present the activities and news of his family members in front of everyone in a witty and cheeky manner.

Question: After coming out of the house, how did you feel after watching the viral videos related to Scout and Love?

Answer: My wife showed me some videos. I had no idea that those videos were being shown like this. I was very emotional at that time. I even gave up the household ration because I wanted to save Mary ji and Luv.

I want to tell people with folded hands not to present any girl’s video in the wrong context. She could be someone’s sister, daughter or even mother. It is not right to tarnish someone’s image just for views. People should avoid creating such content.

Apart from ‘Panchayat’, Asif has also been seen in many OTT projects like ‘Jamtara’, ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Murder in Agonda’, ‘Ghar Set Hai’ and ‘Dehati Boys’ (Season 2).

Question: What difference did you find between the approach of Rohit Shetty and Salman Khan?

Answer: Both have their own opinion. Rohit sir expressed his views on an issue and later Salman sir also spoke on it. When Salman sir raised the same issue, other people in the house also felt that they could express their opinion.

I think if you don’t agree with something, you should express your opinion. No matter who is in front, everyone has the right to express their opinion.

Question: How did you feel getting praise from actors like Rohit Shetty and Rajkumar Rao?

Answer: This was a big thing for me. I used to think that such big artists might not look at the work of others because they are busy with their own work. But people like Rajkumar Rao sir, Rohit sir and Ajay Devgan sir had seen my work.

Rajkumar Rao sir and Rohit sir said that they liked my work. Rohit sir even talked about working with me. I told him I want to work with you. He said that they will definitely work together. What could be greater happiness for me than this!

Question: Rapid fire at the end. Who is the biggest game player in the house?

answer: Asif Khan.

Question: The greatest dramatist?

answer: Qazi Bhai and Asif Khan.

Question: Who was the biggest faker?

answer: Amrapali ji and a little bit Mahi ji.

Question: Who gossips the most?

answer: Amrapali ji. She can even gossip while sleeping.

Question: Who did you think was the best person in the house?

Answer: Scout.

Question: Who should get the Bigg Boss trophy?

answer: According to me, Scout, Young and Arishfa all three deserve this.
