Rajesh and Madhuri got married in March 2025 without the consent of the family.
Madhuri Sahitibai, 25, daughter of senior IAS officer Chinna Ramudu in Andhra Pradesh, committed suicide at her maternal home in Tadepalli. On Sunday, when Madhuri did not come out of the bathroom, the family members broke the door. She was found hanging.
Investigation has revealed it to be a case of suicide. Madhuri had accused her husband Rajesh Naidu of dowry harassment a few months ago.
Love marriage took place 9 months ago
Madhuri and Rajesh got married on March 5, 2025 and informed their respective families on March 7. After this the marriage registration was also done. During the love affair, Madhuri left her B.Tech course midway due to backlog.
Tension started increasing in relationships
After a few months of marriage, tension in the relationship started increasing. Some time ago Madhuri had called her family and told that she was being harassed for dowry. After the complaint, the parents brought him with them to Tadepalli in the first week of September.
The family said that she was constantly hesitating to return to her husband’s house. She appeared to be in a state of severe stress for the past few weeks. He hanged himself on Sunday morning. Investigation is ongoing.
IAS father said – had to ask husband even to make phone call
IAS Chinna Ramudu told that Rajesh was harassing his daughter for dowry. He used to threaten her, saying that she had no support and that he would kill her. He told- My daughter had to take his permission even to call him.
She couldn’t live with him, so we brought him back home. She hoped that Rajesh would take her back, but it did not happen. She kept telling us again and again that her love was not true. We never thought that we would lose him.
