Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Deepke has announced protests across the country. He released a video message on social media platform
He said that even after this, if the Education Minister does not resign, then students from all over the country will again go to Delhi and carry out a peaceful protest. CJP had also demonstrated at Jantar Mantar on June 6 and demanded the resignation of the Education Minister over irregularities in the examinations.
Abhijeet has come to India from America to protest on 6th June. He reached his home in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra on Sunday morning. He held a press conference in the evening and said – In the last 10-12 years, the country’s politics has been focused on Hindu-Muslim issues. This will not provide employment.
On reaching home, Abhijeet’s parents garlanded him and performed aarti.
More than 6 lakh followers increased in 24 hours
The number of followers of Cockroach Janata Party on Instagram has also increased. Before the performance, his number of followers was 2.21 crore. By 3 pm on June 7, this number increased to 2.27 crore. He has 2.70 lakh followers on X.
3 big challenges in front of Abhijeet
- Converting Followers into Voters: The low turnout at Jantar Mantar compared to the support on social media proved that the party will have to form block and district committees at the grassroots level. The party does not have experience in politics. There is power of followers on social media, but the question is whether they will be able to convert it into vote bank if they contest elections.
- No helpful cadre like Anna movement: The success of the Anna movement of 2011 was due to the support of different organizations. Cockroach Janata Party does not have any cadre. Its entire base is based on click activism. Having 22 million followers on Instagram is a digital achievement, but this virtual cadre neither has leaders nor any understanding of booth management.
- Not a single point agenda: The first condition for a successful political or social movement is a single point agenda. The Anna movement had a clear objective – Lokpal Bill. People got connected with this. Among the people who came to the Cockroach Janata Party movement, some were talking about Manipur, some about taxes and water crisis, and some about corruption and infrastructure. The party will have to put forward a clear national policy and agenda.

CJI Surya Kant’s statement became the reason for the formation of CJP.
CJP was born after a statement given by Chief Justice Surya Kant on the youth. In fact, during the hearing of a case on May 15, CJI Surya Kant had called the unemployed youth of the country cockroaches. He said- Some unemployed youth are like cockroaches, who later start attacking the system by becoming media, social media or RTI activists.
The bench of CJI and Justice Joymalya Bagchi heard the petition of a lawyer, in which he had sought the status of senior advocate. The bench reprimanded the lawyer and said – There are already parasites in the society, who attack the system.
After this, on May 16, Abhijeet Deepke from America started Cockroach Janata Party. Created an account on X-Instagram. An online petition was placed on the website on May 22 for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. More than 8 lakh people had signed this petition.
