An accident happened near the ISKCON temple with a family who had come for darshan from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh, which they had never imagined even in their dreams. The 21-year-old young son of the family, Abhigyan Gupta, lost his life due to electrocution from an iron cooler containing water. According to the victim’s family, they had reached ISKCON temple after having darshan from Banke Bihari temple. As soon as he collected his slippers and his son came in front of the cooler, the current of the cooler pulled the boy towards itself. While trying to save him, the family members also got electric shocks, but they could not save their only son.
The crying condition of the family can be seen in the video, which will break anyone’s heart. The direct allegation of a helpless father is on the negligence of the temple and the arrangements there. His question is very valid that when safe plastic coolers are available today, why was a dangerous iron cooler kept there, putting people’s lives at risk?
The family says that if the administration cannot provide safe facilities to the people, then they have no right to take anyone’s life like this. The victim’s family has demanded the strictest action against this gross negligence, so that such untoward incident does not happen to anyone else’s child in future.
