Kolkata Yellow Taxi: Yellow colored Ambassador taxis were once the identity of Kolkata city of West Bengal, famous as ‘City of Joy’. But with time they are slowly disappearing from the roads. This Hindustani Ambassador taxi was once called the lifeline of Kolkata. People know it as “Yellow Cab”. But in recent years, they are gradually decreasing. It is being said that more than 50 percent of the yellow taxis in the city will stop running. The main reason for this is the increasing maintenance. There are strict cost and pollution rules. Most of these vehicles are about 15 years old.
