On Tuesday, a person died after being hit by a Vande Bharat Express train while spitting Khaini on platform number 02 of Barh station under Danapur Railway Division. A video of the time of being hit by Vande Bharat had also gone viral, the person could not be identified. The family members came to know about the incident through social media on Wednesday evening.
The family members reached Barh station on Thursday morning from where they identified the body kept near post-mortem. Railway GRP completed the paperwork and handed over the body to the family members. Regarding the incident, the family members told that the deceased was deaf and dumb since birth, he had left on Tuesday morning to go to his in-laws’ house. His in-laws house is under Saksohara police station of Barh sub-division. During this time, he reached Barh while sitting in a train but did not go to his in-laws’ house. He was preparing to return after buying vegetables and Horlicks in Barh. Due to not being able to hear, the horn of the train had no effect on him and while spitting Khaini, he got hit by the Vande Bharat Express train.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Raut (55), resident of Shahabad village of Nalanda district.
Kundan Kumar, younger brother of the deceased, told that he got information about the incident through social media, he was going to his in-laws house located in Saksohra police station area on Tuesday. He boarded the train at Bakhtiyarpur but the train stopped directly in the flood. He was returning back to his home from the flood and got hit by the train.
