Seats have been divided in Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra. The seat agreement has been finalized in the meeting held on Wednesday between Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction). All three parties have decided to contest the elections on 85-85-85 basis. The remaining 18 seats have been kept for alliance with regional parties. Other parties include Samajwadi Party, Swabhimani Paksha i.e. SWP and Communist Party of India (Marxist) i.e. CPIM. Out of 288 seats in Maharashtra, the remaining seats will be given to other allies. There are 288 seats in Maharashtra Assembly. Voting will take place here in a single phase on November 20.
