Indian-American civil rights activist Harmeet Dhillon on Monday performed the ‘Ardas’, a Sikh prayer, at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee with former US President Donald Trump in attendance.
Dhillon is the former vice chairperson of the California Republican Party.
55-year-old Harmeet Dhillon was born in a Sikh family in Chandigarh and immigrated to the United States. She has worked on intellectual property matters, civil rights, employment discrimination and others. Dhillon was once a lawyer to Trump and co-chaired the Women for Trump organisation.
