Syed Suhail: Once again MCD’s bulldozer has run in Delhi. MCD has taken this action to remove encroachment from near Jhandewalan temple. Local people protested fiercely against this action of MCD. In view of the people’s protest, the administration had to take many people into custody. This action taken in Jhandewalan is a joint action of MCD and DDA. Police have been deployed in the area so that there is no further disturbance of any kind. There are also reports of altercations and minor clashes between local people and the police.
