Bharat Bandh 21 August: The ‘Reservation Bachao Sangharsh Samiti’ is observing a one-day Bharat Bandh today in protest against the recent Supreme Court verdict on reservation. In this verdict, the Supreme Court has said that the states should identify the ‘creamy layer’ in SCs and STs and keep them out of quota benefits. After this, the agitators were seen blocking roads in Patna and stopping the movement of vehicles. The Supreme Court also overruled the majority verdict in the EV Chinnaiya case and allowed the sub-classification of SCs and STs.
