Air Pollution: The Supreme Court has reprimanded the pollution control body CAQM for not taking effective action against stubble burning. CAQM President Rajesh Verma was present in the online proceedings. The court said that not a single provision of the Act was complied with by CAQM. Every year there is the same problem of stubble burning. Why are you not taking effective action against stubble burning? Why do you meet only once in 3 months? Why would there be such a gap between meetings even when we are on the brink of crisis?
