UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2025 Live Updates: The Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC Prelims Result 2025. The exam was conducted on May 25, 2025. Students can check their results on the official website at upsc.gov.in.
The prelims exam comprised two objective-type papers (MCQs), each of two hours duration and carrying a maximum of 200 marks. A negative marking system was in place, with one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to each question deducted for every incorrect response.
The prelims serve solely as a screening stage, and marks obtained in this phase are not considered for the final merit list. Through this recruitment drive, the commission aims to fill 979 vacancies.
