UPPSC has released the detailed timetable for the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) Main Exam 2023. The exam will be conducted over two days.

UPPSC RO ARO Mains Exam Date 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced the main exam dates for the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) 2023. Deputy Secretary Virendra Mani Tripathi issued a notification regarding this. The exams for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh will be held on January 31 and February 1, 2026. All the latest updates including the mains exam schedule can be checked at the official website — uppsc.up.nic.in.

A total of 7,509 candidates were declared successful in the UPPSC RO ARO prelims exam. As many as, 6,093 candidates qualified for the Review Officer position, 1,386 for the Assistant Review Officer position, and 30 for the two ARO Accounts positions. The results of the preliminary exam were announced on September 16, 2025.

This exam will select eligible candidates for 419 positions, including 338 Review Officer positions and 79 Assistant Review Officer positions.

Now, UPPSC has released the detailed timetable for the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) Main Exam 2023. The exam will be conducted over two days.

UPPSC RO ARO Mains Exam Schedule

January 31, 2026: General Studies and General Hindi

On the first day, January 31, 2026, two question papers will be conducted in two shifts:

First Shift (General Studies):

Timings: 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

Question Paper: This paper will be of objective type, similar to the General Studies question paper of the Preliminary Examination.

Second Shift (General Hindi and Drafting):

Timings: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Question Paper Structure: The second paper will be divided into two sections. The total time allotted for this paper is 3 hours.

Section 1 (Subjective): From 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, there will be question papers for Subjective General Hindi and Drafting subjects.

Section Two (General Vocabulary and Grammar): An objective test of General Vocabulary and Grammar will be held from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

February 1, 2026: Hindi Essay

The final question paper will be held on the second day, February 1, 2026:

Timings: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Question Paper: This will be a Hindi Essay question paper for which 3 hours is allotted.
