The Uttar Pradesh government provides financial support to students through the UP Scholarship Programme to help them continue their education. The scheme is open to students from the General category, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and minority communities.
Students who have applied for the UP Scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year can check the status of their applications through the official portal, scholarship.up.gov.in.
What the application status means
Students checking their application status may see different updates depending on the stage of verification.
Pending Verification:
If the status shows “Pending Verification”, it means the authorities are still checking the details and documents submitted in the application. During this stage, students cannot make any changes and must wait until the verification process is completed.
Approved / Disbursed:
If the status shows “Approved” or “Disbursed”, it means the application has been verified and accepted. The student is eligible for the scholarship and the amount will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account.
Rejected:
If the status shows “Rejected”, the application has not been approved. This usually happens due to incorrect information, missing documents, ineligibility, or failure in the verification process. In such cases, students may need to correct the errors and apply again.
