UP DGP Rajiv Krishna: Government of Uttar Pradesh has appointed Rajiv Krishna, a 1991 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Rajiv Krishna, the Director General of Police (DGP) of the state. Rajiv Krishna is currently working in the post of Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board and DG Vigilance. The UP government has entrusted the responsibility of caretaker DGP to Rajiv Krishna.
Who is Rajiv Krishna
Rajiv Krishna is a 1991 batch IPS officer in UP cadre. At present, Rajiv Krishna was at the forefront of the DGP race. The reason is that the paper was leaked in the biggest constable recruitment examination of Uttar Pradesh Police, then DG Renuka Mishra of the recruitment board was removed. The government gave DG Vigilance Rajiv Krishna additional charge of the recruitment board.

As captain, SP and SSP were in Firozabad, Etawah, Mathura, Fatehgarh, Bulandshahr, Noida, Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly. When ATS was formed in Uttar Pradesh, Rajiv Krishna became the first DIG of ATS. He took command of Meerut as an IG range. In the current Yogi government, Rajiv Krishna was the ADG zone of Lucknow for one and a half years and about two and a half years ADG zone of Agra.
In August 2023, Rajiv Krishna was made the ADG of Vigilance. In January 2024, the government was promoted to the post of DG and the government created DG Vigilance. But in March 2024, the police recruitment exam paper was leaked, then the command of the police recruitment and promotion board was also given to Rajiv Krishna.
Wife Meenakshi Singh IRS
Meenakshi Singh, wife of Rajiv Krishna, is a senior officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and is currently working as the Income Tax Commissioner in Lucknow. His family also holds influential positions in various government departments. His brother -in -law Rajeshwar Singh is a former officer of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), who is known for many major investigations of economic crimes. He stepped into politics after taking voluntary retirement and is now MLA from Sarojini Nagar Assembly seat in Lucknow. Apart from this, his sister -in -law Laxmi Singh is a senior officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS) and is currently working as the Commissioner of Police of Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida).
