In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the preparations of the central government have intensified. The Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India (MHA) has ordered a comprehensive mock drill across the country on 7 May. War siren alert will also be played in it. Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar said that 19 districts of the state have been included in this exercise. These districts are divided into three categories.
How many districts in which category
A Category: 1 District
B Category: 16 districts
C Category: 2 districts
The basis of this classification is based on the sensitivity and potential risks of the districts. DGP Prashant Kumar said, keeping in mind the sensitivity of the region, the administration has ordered that this mock drill will be organized in collaboration with the Civil Administration, Police Administration, Fire Services and Disaster Response Force (DRF), so that any emergency can be dealt with effectively.
Special attention will be given here
The air red warning siren will be checked whether the emergency warning system is working correctly or not. Apart from this, how much people are ready for this will also be seen. Citizens will also be trained for self-protection and response in emergency situations during markel drills. The process of blackout will also be practiced as required to prevent enemy surveillance. There will also be a practice to visit a safe place under any circumstances. The time and location of the mock drill in the selected district will be determined by the local administration. Civil defense, police, fire services, disaster response forces, home guards, national cadet core (NCC), and school-college students will participate in this exercise.
Why is black out
The purpose of Blackout Blackout was to make enemy aerial attacks difficult. At night, the lights of cities were helpful in finding aim for enemy pilots. For example, during the 1940 London Blitz, German Luftwaf bombed the British cities at night. Navigation and targeting were complicated by reducing the lights. Blackout in coastal areas helped protect ships from enemy submarines, who attacked the ships’ silhouettes against the coast light.
Start tight action
After the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India has started taking strict action against Pakistan. A high -level meeting was held in the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday. In the meeting, it was reviewed how to train people for mock drill. On May 7, on the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Civil Defense Mock Drill will be held in 244 districts across the country, this is the first such drill after 1971. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met the three army chiefs in the last 7 days and discussed preparations and possible action plans. On the Pahalgam attack, the Prime Minister has said that those who conspiracy will get a big punishment from their imagination.
