US President Trump has immediately sought resignation from Lisa Cook, Governor of the US Federal Reserve (Central Bank). Trump said this by sharing a post on social media platform Truth social on Wednesday.
Trump wrote- ‘Lisa Cook should resign now’. Earlier, Trump’s associate and Chief Bill of US Federal Housing Finance Agency accused Cook of Morgase fraud (fraud) in the purchase of home and demanded an inquiry from the Justice Department.
However, these allegations have not yet been officially confirmed. At the same time, Lisa Cook has also not made any statement.

What is the charge on Lisa Cook?
Bill Gulte alleges that in June 2021, Lisa Cook bought a property in Michigan and described it as his principal residence i.e. the main house in the 15 -year morgue agreement.
A month later, in July 2021, Cook bought another property in Atlanta, Georgia and described it as his main home in a 30 -year agreement.
On the basis of these claims, the Pulta accused Cook of cheating and said- ‘How can a woman who is lying to save her interest, how can she take responsibility for controlling interest rates?’
Other officials have been accused
Lisa Cook is not alone, which the Trump government has accused of cheating. Earlier, New York Attorney General Latitia James and California Senator Adam Shif were also accused.
James described these allegations as baseless, while Shif rejected them and accused the Trump government of misusing the US judicial system.
Lisa joined the Federal Reserve in 2022
Lisa Cook joined the Board of Federal Reserve in May 2022 and became the first black female governor of this board. His current appointment is up to 2038. Earlier, he worked in the Council of Economic Advisors under the administration of former President Barack Obama.
Trump criticized Central Bank Chairman several times
Trump has severely criticized the Federal Reserve and its chairman Jerome Powell in the last few months. They are constantly demanding cuts in interest rates and asking Powell to resign.
The dispute may further increase the tension between the freedom of the Federal Reserve and the Trump administration. Investigation of allegations against Cook and demand for his resignation may intensify the discussion on interest rates and the US economy.
