Traffic Challan New Rule: The Uttar Pradesh Transport Department seems to be even more strict about traffic rules. If you are in Uttar Pradesh and some challana is cut while driving a vehicle, then get it deposited immediately. Because the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department is now preparing to apply thick penalty on the outstanding challans. For this, the department has set a time limit of 1 month.

That is, it will be mandatory to deposit it within a month of the challan cut in UP, otherwise a provision has been made to impose late fee. There is absolutely no need to delay any kind of following this rule. Because this new rule has now been implemented. Therefore, get the challans of your vehicle settled in time.

Recovery campaign has started

According to Transport Commissioner Brajesh Narayan Singh, a new system of recovery recovery has been implemented from August 10. This late fee fee can be 5 to 10 percent of the amount of challan. That is, if the challan of Rs 1,000 is cut, then late fine of 50 to 100 rupees can be applied on it.

SMS is being sent to vehicle owners

According to the department, now e-challan notice is being sent directly on the mobile owners’ mobile through WhatsApp Chatbot (8005441222). The department says that in the first phase, information about the challan from January 2024 to July 2025 will be sent. After this, information about pending invoices of 2022 and 2023 will also be sent in the second phase. Apart from this, vehicle owners can check their challan through chatbot.
