This week, Shubhranshu was included in the first board of Effie Lions Foundation (New York based Not-for-Profit).
Shubhranshu Singh, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Business Unit (CVBU) has been included in the list of the world’s most influential CMO. It was announced at an event going on in Cannes, France.
At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Forbes not only gave Singh a place in the list of World’s Most Influencal CMOS, but also gave him a title named ‘Truck Whisper’. Shubhranshu made the boring segment such as commercial vehicles (trucks, buses) cool, emotional and digital.
Forbes said, “Shubhranshu showed that utility-based products such as commercial vehicles can also be cool with emotional storytelling and digital scale.”

AI and data game
- Shubhranshu always shifted the marketing of Tata Motors to on mode. Earlier, where there were big campaigns, now small micro-camps are running with the help of AI.
- He created a customer data platform, which makes 1.5 lakh unique customers profiles from over 80 data points. That is, personalized offers and messages are sent to every customer.
- Blockchain prevents fraud and made marketing marketing from programmatic biors (50–50 split on meta, Google and aggregator platforms).
- Shubhranshu took the YouTube channel of the Commercial Vehicle of Tata Motors to 1 million subscribers and 45 crore views in just 2 years. For this, he received the YouTube Gold Creator Award.
- He worked with micro and regional influencers, which associates trucks and buses with emotional stories. For example, by showing stories of drivers and community, vehicles were made a hero.
- To reach every corner of India, Shubhranshu conducted campaigns in 11 languages. This created a deep connection with regional customers.
- His ‘country’s Trucks’ campaign made Tata’s Prima, Signna and Ultra Trucks the face of style, safety and technology.
- Shubhranshu launched Ace Pro (electric cargo for-wheeler) and made Tata a leader in the EV commercial segment.
- His marketing introduced EV not just a car, but as a Sustainable and Future-Reddy Solution.
Forbes releases the list every year
The Forbes list gives an award to marketing leaders every year who give new directions to brands through their innovative ideas and data-based strategy. To make a place in this list, parameters such as digital engagement, campaign effectiveness, brand’s popularity, media visibility and impact on business have to be met.
More than 50 awards have been received
Shubhranshu has a 22 -year -old experience and has worked with big brands like Royal Enfield (Global CMO), Unilever, Vija, Diazio and Star Sports in addition to Tata Motors.
Singh has received more than 50 National and International Awards like Automotive CMO of the Year and Pitch CMO Award 2024 of News 9 Global Summit 2024. He has written more than 800 articles.
