The archery-based lottery game is played everyday at the Shillong Polo Stadium, Meghalaya. Organised by the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association (KHASA), the lottery game not only offers participants a chance to win significant cash prizes but also encourages the region’s youth to play the sport of archery.

HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?

• Shillong teer lottery game is played in two short rounds, each lasting for two minutes.
• Expert archers shoot 30 arrows in the first round, followed by 20 arrows in the second round.
• Participants must pick a number between 0 and 99, aiming to predict how many arrows will hit the target.
• Tickets are sold at licensed counters in denominations of Rs 1, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20, and Rs 50.

The prize money depends on the value of the ticket and the accuracy of the prediction. For example, a correct guess in the first round with a Rs 1 ticket earns Rs 80, while an accurate prediction in the second round gives Rs 60. Players who predict both rounds accurately can win up to Rs 4,000 with just a Rs 1 ticket.
