Today, on Thursday, December 4, the fourth trading day of the week, the Sensex is trading above 85,450 by rising 350 points. There is a rise of 110 points in Nifty, it is at 26,100.

20 out of 30 Sensex stocks are rising. Out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 33 are rising. Auto, IT and metal stocks are on the rise today. There is a slight decline in Media Pharma.

Mixed business for Asian markets

  • Asian Market: Korea’s Kospi is down 1.15% at 3,990. At the same time, Japan’s Nikkei is trading up 1.47% at 50,596 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading up 0.41% at 25,867.
  • US Market: On December 3, the Dow Jones closed at 47,882, up 0.86%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.17% at 23,454 and the S&P 500 was up 0.30% at 6,850.

Meesho’s IPO subscribed 2.35 times on first day

Today is the second day of Meesho’s IPO. It was opened for subscription yesterday i.e. on 3rd December and was subscribed 2.35 times (235%) on the very first day. Its retail portion was 100% subscribed within 1 hour and was subscribed 3.86 times i.e. 386% on the first day.

Foreign investors in 3 days ₹8,021 sold shares worth crores

  • On December 3, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,206.92 crore in the cash segment. Whereas domestic investors (DIIs) made purchases worth ₹4,730.41 crore.
  • In the first three days of December, FIIs have sold shares worth a total of ₹8,020.53 crore. Whereas, DIIs have bought shares worth ₹ 11,935.28 crore during this period.
  • FIIs sold shares worth a total of ₹17,500.31 crore in the month of November. Whereas, DIIs made purchases worth ₹77,083.78 crore. That is, the market is supported by domestic investors.

There was a decline in the market yesterday

On Wednesday, December 3, the third trading day of the week, the Sensex fell 31 points and closed at 85,107. There was a decline of 46 points in Nifty, it closed at the level of 25,986.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 declined. Auto, energy and FMCG shares declined in today’s trading. There was a rise in IT and banking stocks.
