On Tuesday (December 16), the second trading day of the week, the Sensex has fallen by about 250 points. It is trading at the level of 81,500. Nifty is also trading around 100 points down at 24,600 points.
On Tuesday, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 declined and 11 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 33 declined, 16 rose and one had no change. Among NSE sectoral indices, Nifty Realty and Media are trading with gains of 1.08% and 1.24%. While there is a decline in Nifty Bank.
Mixed business for Asian markets
- In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei is up by 0.16% and Korea’s Kospi is down by 0.90%. China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a decline of 0.44%.
- According to NSE data, net sales by foreign investors (FIIs) stood at Rs 278.70 crore on December 16. During this period, net sales by domestic investors (DIIs) stood at ₹234.25 crore.
- On December 16, America’s Dow Jones fell 0.032% and closed at 43,754. The S&P 500 was up 0.38% at 6,074 and the Nasdaq was up 1.24% at 20,173.
Anand Rathi Shares and GK Energy file DRHP
Anand Rathi Share & Stock Brokers Ltd, the brokerage arm of Anand Rathi Group, has filed a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI to launch an IPO. The company wants to raise Rs 745 crore through IPO.
At the same time, GK Energy Limited, which is a provider of solar powered agricultural water pump systems, has also filed DRHP with SEBI to launch an IPO. GK Energy’s IPO includes a fresh issue of Rs 500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 84,00,000 equity shares.
The market closed with a decline yesterday
Yesterday, on December 16, the first trading day of the week, the Sensex closed at 81,748 with a fall of 384 points. Nifty also fell by 100 points, it closed at the level of 24,668. At the same time, BSE Midcap closed at the level of 48,126 with a rise of 350 points.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 25 declined and 5 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 40 declined and 9 rose. Whereas, 1 share closed without any change. Nifty Realty closed with the highest gain of 3.10% among the NSE sectoral indices.
