The stock market is declining today i.e. on 16 May. The Sensex is trading at 82,300 levels with a decline of over 200 points. At the same time, the Nifty also has a rise of more than 50 points. It is trading at the level of 25,000.

Out of 30 Sensex’s 30 shares, there is a decline in 18 and 12. Today there is a significant decline in banking, auto and IT shares. Energy and finance shares are trading firmly.

Mixed business for Asian markets

  • Japan’s Nikkei is trading in Asian markets at 37,659 below 96 points (0.25%). Korea’s Kospi is trading at 2,621 by climbing 5 points.
  • Hong Kong’s Hangseng index is at 164 points (0.70%) at 23,288. China’s Shanghai Composite declines by 17.50 points (0.52%), closed at 3,363.
  • On 15 May, the US Dow Jones climbed 271 points (0.65%) to close at 42,322. Nasdaq Composite fell 34 points to 19,11.
