Today there is a boom in Asian markets. The American market also closed on Friday.

On the first trading day of the week, on today i.e. Monday, August 25, the Sensex is trading 300 points at 81,600 levels. The Nifty also has a gain of 100 points, it is at a level of 24,960.

Of the 30 shares of the Sensex, 24 are rose and 6 declines in 6. Infosys, Tech Mahindra and TCS are boom. ICICI, HDFC and Bajaj Finserv are declining shares.

Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 39 are rose and 11 decline. All except NSE’s media index are boom. IT is about 2% above. There is also a boom in realty, metal and pharma.

Global market boom

  • In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading at 42,922 above 0.68% and Korea’s Kospi is trading at 3,198 above 0.92%.
  • Hong Kong’s Hangseng index is trading at 2.04% to 25,856 and China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,858 above 0.86%.
  • On August 22, the US Dow Jones closed at 45,632 above 1.89%. At the same time, Nasdaq composite climbed 1.88% to 21,496 and S&P 500 closed at 6,467 above 1.52%.

Fiis on 22 August 1,623 Sold shares worth crores of rupees

  • On 22 August, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold a net of Rs 1,622.52 crore in the cash segment and a net of Rs 329.25 crore by domestic investors (DIS).
  • In August, foreign investors have sold shares worth ₹ 25,751.02 crore so far. At the same time, domestic investors have purchased a net of Rs 66,183.51 crore during this period.
  • In July, foreign investors sold shares worth a total of Rs 47,666.68 crore. At the same time, domestic investors also purchased a net of ₹ 60,939.16 crore in a month.

The market had dropped 694 points on Friday

The Sensex fell 694 points to close at 81,307 on Friday, August 22, the last trading day of last week. The Nifty also declined by 214 points, it fell at 24,870.

23 out of 30 shares of Sensex declined, 7 closed up. A total of 12 shares, including Asian Paints, UltraTech Cement and Tata Steel, declined by 1% to 2.5%. Mahindra, Maruti and Bel climbed and closed.

Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 42 declined and only 8 rose. The NSE metal index declined by 1.25%, PSU banking 1.12%, private bank 1.06% and FMCG by 1.00%. Media, pharma and healthcare increased a slight rise.
