Delhi:

The Delhi government has declared 25 November a public holiday. All government schools are closed, and most private schools are also not functioning today, though final decisions depend on individual managements.

Public services such as Delhi Metro, buses, taxis and autos are operating as usual. Between 23 and 25 November, events such as Kirtan Darbars, light-and-sound shows and tribute programmes at Red Fort are being held to honour Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s teachings and sacrifice.

Uttar Pradesh:

UP has shifted the holiday from 24 to 25 November for this year to align with the 350th anniversary observances. Government schools and state offices are closed today. Cultural remembrance programmes are expected across districts, with leaders urging citizens to reflect on the message of courage, faith and freedom exemplified by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Punjab:

Punjab is observing wide-scale commemorative programmes from 23 to 25 November. These include Nagar Kirtans, devotional gatherings, heritage walks and light-and-sound installations, notably in Patiala and Sri Anandpur Sahib. A formal notification regarding school closures is still awaited.
